Me, Myself and Life

I wonder "Where is San Francisco, in california or India?"

People always talk about California as a dream place to live and San Francisco as Night clubs capital in the world. Fortunately (or what ever it might be) I got my first job in SF. Here is what I think about ...

Things I liked:

1) Weather is the first thing anyone would admire about Calif, its never too warm and never too cold. Its sunny, pleasant and beautiful most of the days.
2) Too many Desi restaurants to linger your taste buds.
3)Commute, for a guy like me who is from a place like Baton Rouge, its wonderful to see many people around and using the public transport. Especially, my daily morning caltrain journey is simply perfect to start a day.
4) Shopping, Night clubs, food and of course girle's ;)

Things I @!#$%&:

1)Where am I ? Is calif in USA or India.. I am totally confused. Its rare to find a white at this place. Well if you ever wanted to see a guy in the car stopped beside you at a traffic signal, don't be surprised to see a Desi's in almost all the cars.

2) When you meet a Desi, make sure you have the following list (who ever it might be, a colleague or friend of a friend of a friend of a friend , I guess you got my point)
a) Name:
b) Company you are working for ?
c) Consultancy ?
d) How long you been working in USA ?
e) How long is your contract ?
f) Programmer or SAP ?
g) If P, is it JAVA, c, blaah blaah and If SAP what module ?
h) ....... endless... better be prepared, he would like to know even if he meets you in a restroom for a min..

3) You cannot talk in your mother tongue anymore in Costco or Walmart, everyone around you can understand what you are talking about.

thats it for now ... will keep posting more

where is WEB 2.0 going ?

I wonder where the web2.0 stream is taking us ? Is it just the beginning or Is it already started dyeing ?

Downstream ?
here

In VC funds, here

Upstream ?

I actually believe that web2.0 is still in the beginning stage and only the strongest survive. If its a service very useful to people it always stands out.
